EGGPLANT

This piece starts at the stem of the eggplant using light green yarn.

R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R2–4: 1 sc in each st (6)

R5: Working in FLO, 1 inc in each st (12)

R6: [1 sc, 1 inc] x6 (18)

R7: [2 sc, 1 inc] x6 (24)

R8: 1 sc in each st (24)

Change to light purple yarn.

R9: Working in BLO, 1 sc in each st (24)

R10-17: 1 sc in each st (24)

Place the eyes between R13 and R14, about 4 sc apart. Using black yarn, embroider the mouth onto the front of the face with the tapestry needle, just below the eyes. Add blush for rosy pink cheeks, if you’d like.
